LIVING BREAD MINISTRY AND THE WOMEN'S CENTER
Living Bread Ministry is a program started and supported by local churches and managed by the Salvation Army. The program provides food to the needy in crisis situations in Ridgecrest and the surrounding area. Please give generously and help our community feed the hungry.
The Women's Center is a non-profit organization providing a network of services relating to domestic violence and sexual assault as well as child abuse prevention for Eastern Kern County and surrounding counties to educate the public and community agencies, to heighten awareness regarding domestic violence and sexual assault, and to reduce the risk of victimization. Your generous offering will assure that the Women's Center's work will continue.
Food fOR the Month
This year the Missions Committee has decided to designate a specific food each month to be provided to the Salvation Army. The food item for July is a box of cereal. Of course other items are welcome as well. Some of the items that are always needed for the food pantry are: peanut butter, jelly, crackers, macaroni & cheese, canned vegetables, soup, top ramen, and tuna. Please place your items in the blue bucket in the Narthex, and they will be taken to the Living Bread Ministry food mission.
CUB SCOUT PACK 341 FUNDRAISER
Cub Scout Pack 341 will be selling Indian Tacos in the Social Hall after worship today. The tacos consist of Indian fry bread topped by refried beans, lettuce, ground beef, cheese and salsa. The price is $8 for a taco that fits on an average size paper plate. The tacos may be eaten in the Social Hall, or you may get yours to go. The proceeds will be used for Pack expenses such as Pinewood Derby, registration and awards.
