THE WOMEN'S CENTER AND LIVING BREAD MINISTRY
The Women's Center is a non-profit organization providing a network of services relating to domestic violence and sexual assault as well as child abuse prevention for Eastern Kern County and surrounding counties to educate the public and community agencies, to heighten awareness regarding domestic violence and sexual assault, and to reduce the risk of victimization. Your generous offering will assure that the Women's Center's work will continue.
Living Bread Ministry is a program started and supported by local churches and managed by the Salvation Army. The program provides food to the needy in crisis situations in Ridgecrest and the surrounding area. Please give generously and help our community feed the hungry.
FOOD FOR THE MONTH
This year the Missions Committee has decided to designate a specific food each month to be provided to the Salvation Army. The food item for July is a box of cereal. Of course other items are welcome as well. Some of the items that are always needed for the food pantry are: peanut butter, jelly, crackers, macaroni & cheese, canned vegetables, soup, top ramen, and tuna. Please place your items in the blue bucket in the Narthex, and they will be taken to the Living Bread Ministry food mission.
